WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

You are a friendly, outgoing and energetic individual with excellent time management and people skills. You are confident in your communication style and understand how to relate to a culturally diverse group of people with a strong customer focus. You will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of customers while being transferred and for ensuring that customer experiences are enjoyable and positive whilst in the vehicle. You will have a focus on safety, an excellent driving history, are flexible and adaptable and extremely reliable. This role has flexible working hours/days suited to the successful candidate. 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:  - Current Drivers Licence - Right to Work in Australia (unlimited) - Local winery knowledge - Passenger Transport Licence - NSW Bus Authority - Police Clearance - Full COVID vaccination history - available to work most weekends.

Highly desirable: Previous experience as a Driver or Tour Guide within the Tourism Industry - Light to Heavy Rigid Licence - Experience driving with luggage trailer - Clean driving record - Understanding of vehicle care to optimise vehicle performance, Current First Aid certificate

ASSISTED SCHOOL TRANSPORT DRIVER

The business has a number of runs providing transport for disabled children to and from special schools. Some runs are in sedans some in minibuses. A normal car licence is sufficient. Run payment varies depending on klms. travelled, most runs pay between $65 and $150 a school day.
You will need to have, or be prepared to apply for, a " working with children" clearance from the RMS. ( cost $80)
You need a printout of your driving record. ( cost $22 )

A Medical is required within the application. Driver must be fully vaccinated as mandated by the Department of Education.
You need to live in Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, or the Lower Hunter Valley.
The job takes about 2 hours morning and afternoon. No work during school holidays.
The company supplies the vehicle which remains with you at your home. You are paid as an employee with workers compensation insurance & 10% superannuation benefits - Not a contractor!

We have work available starting once the application is processed by the Assisted School Travel department.
